Community Code of Conduct  

  1. We take an interdisciplinary, intersectional, and holistic approach to Asian identity. We see the self as an ecosystem and recognize that we cannot operate to our fullest potential if any part is unwell, neglected, or ignored. 

  2. We embody a culture of questioning. We are constantly questioning what we are doing, how we are achieving our goals, and who is missing from important conversations. We embrace hard conversations and welcome constructively critical, but non-combative dialogue. 

  3. We welcome all viewpoints. We strive to create spaces that support us as we interrogate and challenge norms that expand our understanding of ourselves and our world.

  4. We are action-oriented and fearlessly experimental.

  5. We run on co-creation and collaboration through interactive, immersive, and transformational experiences.

  6. We are champions of our community. Our actions and choices aim to uplift the work of every person in the community.

  7. We invest in ourselves and ask for what we need. We are adamant about promoting our self-care, mental and emotional well-being, creative energy, and financial futures. 

  8. We build our movement with technology through online communities but above all, we believe in the power of in-person gatherings

  • Be mindful of the time you take up to ensure there is space for other voices to emerge. To structure equity into our discussions, we encourage stepping back if you usually step up first and stepping up if you usually step back.

  • Be open to new perspectives and healthy interrogation of some of our long-lasting beliefs

  • Communicate with a calling in vs. calling out model to encourage growth-oriented dialogue

  • Be afraid to ask questions or disagree with the group - we appreciate constructive disagreement over defensive disagreement.

  • Make assumptions or cast judgment over other people’s experiences

  • Let the past prevent you from imagining a better future. 

Safety & Harassment Policy 

We define Harassment as:

  • Offensive verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces

  • Violent threats or language directed against another person.

  • Discriminatory jokes and language.

  • Posting sexually explicit or violent material.

  • Posting (or threatening to post) other people's personally identifying information ("doxing").

  • Personal insults, especially those using racist or sexist terms.

  • Unwelcome sexual attention.

  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

  • Repeated harassment of others. In general, if someone asks you to stop, then stop.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Sponsors and guests to the community are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. 

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, The Cosmos may take any action they deem appropriate, including expulsion from the community. 

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact directly. We expect every community member to follow these rules during their participation in The Cosmos Community.  

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting As a company, we take our community's health seriously and want to ensure everyone has a good experience, so please contact us if there is an issue so we can help address it.
